John Lennon wrote this song for his son Sean. It was released on 17 November 1980 and was an album track on Lennon's 1980 album Double Fantasy. Beautiful Boy (Darling Boy) contains some of Lennon's most memorable lyrics. Perhaps best known is the maxim "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans"
